Day 10 of Geeksmas and something I’ve been looking forward to for a while!

Jessica Jones is getting back to unfinished business! Last night Netflix announced that the second season of the award-winning series will premiere on March 8, 2018 at 12:01am in all territories where Netflix is available. As well as an announcement trailer, there’s also a poster and I like their use of purple, clearly showing that the events of season 1 will continue to have an impact! Jessica Jones Season 2 will premiere with 13 one-hour episodes. You can view the announcement video below!

The Netflix original series Marvel’s Jessica Jones was the second of four epic live-action adventure series (Marvel’s Daredevil, Marvel’s Luke Cage and Marvel’s Iron Fist), which all led to the team up of the main characters in Marvel’s The Defenders. All series premiered only on Netflix. Marvel’s Jessica Jones is a suspenseful, edgy look into the life of Jessica Jones, one of the most popular new Marvel characters of the last decade, as she faces demons from within and without.

New York City private investigator Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter) is beginning to put her life back together after murdering her tormentor, Kilgrave but now that she’s known throughout the city as a super-powered killer, a new case makes her reluctantly confront who she really is while digging deeper into her past to explore the reasons why.

Krysten Ritter (Jessica Jones) is joined by a returning cast that includes Rachael Taylor (Trish Walker), Carrie-Anne Moss (Jeri Hogarth), Eka Darville (Malcolm Ducasse) and new cast members Janet McTeer and J.R. Ramirez, among others.

Marvel’s Jessica Jones on Netflix is Executive Produced by series Showrunner Melissa Rosenberg (Twilight, Dexter), Raelle Tucker (True Blood), Jim Chory (Marvel’s Daredevil, Marvel’s Luke Cage, Marvel’s Iron Fist) and Jeph Loeb (Marvel’s Daredevil, Marvel’s Luke Cage, Marvel’s Iron Fist) who also serves as Marvel’s Head of Television.

Jessica Jones was certainly one of my favourites of the Marvel/Netflix partnership and I’m really looking forward to seeing what happens next! Are you excited for it’s return? What troubles (other than hangovers) do you think she’ll face? Let us know your thoughts!
