RPG-a-Day 2018
RPG-a-Day 2018 Day 26: Your gaming ambition for the next year…

At the most basic level, it’s to be able to play as many games as I can, which is the answer I give to this question every year. I’m looking forward to going to Tabletop Scotland next week so there’s a good chance I’ll play something over the weekend. There’s a chance I might get to do a follow up session as the “villains” in a friend’s Pathfinder game later this year, which could be good fun to re-visit the character I built and see how the players have progressed. One of the local bookshops in town runs regular games nights, I got to go to one this year, it’d be nice to go to a few more. I’m looking forward to seeing Pathfinder 2.0 released ater getting to playtest it at UK Games Expo.

In a perfect world I’d love to get back to playing/running a game on a regular basis but at the moment I think that a lack of time or potential players stifles that ambition pretty heavily. I’ve been putting together some ideas for the game world I’d run something in, furthering those ideas would be good so that when the time comes I can present a more fleshed out world for my players to explore. I’d love to get a chance to play some WoW this year, I missed the second half of Legion and everything about Battle for Azeroth looks amazing. I’ll keep trying to listen to gaming podcasts, play-throughs and audiobooks for more inspiration, and of course I’ll be watching Critical Role, we’re going to MCMLondon later this year to see them live which is going to be some experience.

So as we move into the last 5 days of RPG-a-Day 2018, on day 27 I will be sharing a great stream/actual play…

In the meantime, please feel free to share your gaming ambitions for the coming year in the comments below. As ever, you can find all the previous RPG-a-Day articles here, you can follow me @bargtheogre on Twitter, or check out the Inside the Ogre’s Cavern podcast at @itocpodcast
