Ever since the announcement that Disney was pulling it’s content from Netflix (how has it been 18 months?) and would be launching their own Streaming service, many people have speculated on just what content we’ll see and what kind of quality the content would be. It does seem that Disney is investing heavily in this project though, with the announcement of several shows featuring key members of the MCU and now the crew they’re attaching to these projects suggests that they mean business!
The Vision and Scarlet Witch spin off series is set to be one of the first to premiere on the new Disney+ streaming service and the show has landed a writer/showrunner in Jac Schaeffer.
According to The Hollywood Reporter Captain Marvel co-writer Jac Schaeffer has signed on to pen the pilot and will also serve as executive producer.
Paul Bettany and Elizabeth Olson are expected to reprise their MCU roles as The Vision and Scarlet Witch for the series and the show has now also landed a writer and showrunner.
Schaeffer already has some other big projects in the pipeline, such as the Dirty Rotten Scoundrels remake Hustle starring Anne Hathaway and the solo Black Widow movie starring Scarlett Johansson which is currently scheduled to shoot later in 2019.
As well as Vision and Scarlet Witch, Loki (Tom Hiddleston) is set to feature in this show but there are some outlets reporting that he will actually have his own show. Either way, all this, as well as a team-up series featuring Falcon (Anthony Mackie) and Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan), sees a sizable chunk of the MCU being brought into the fold.
So how are you feeling about the Disney+ service? Will you be subscribing? If not, what would make you sign up? What would you like to see? Let us know your thoughts!
