After what seems like an eternity, 21st Century Fox has just announced that it has completed the distribution of “all issued and outstanding shares” in connection with the Disney acquisition.
This means that Disney’s acquisition of 21CF will become effective at 12:02 a.m. Eastern Time, March 20, 2019.

The implications of this deal are obviously far-reaching, but here at FCPN the team are obviously paying closest attention to Marvel Studios’ plans for the X-Men and Fantastic Four characters. Now that the deal is finally done we may begin to get a clearer picture of what Marvel has in store, but I wouldn’t expect any major revelations quite yet!
Disney Chairman Bob Iger has already confirmed that The House of Mouse will continue to release movies under the 20th Century Fox and Fox Searchlight banners, meaning that there is definitely still scope for MCU-adjacent franchises to exist and crossover when needed.
Ryan Reynolds had already taken to twitter to make fun of the situation in classic style!
